Lordina is a secondary school teacher and a mum of two little kids. She graduated with a Bsc Business Information Technology honours degree from London South Bank University, UK and completed her teaching qualification from University of Brunel in 2009. Lordina has completed a Higher Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Masters level) at the Institute of Education, which is now University College London.
She has been teaching Business Studies and Economics, for the past 10 years and her first post was in Acton High School, West London where she taught for 2 years and then embarked on her first international position at Modern English School Cairo, Egypt in 2011. After working in MES Cairo she returned back to UK and worked as a Head of Business Studies and ICT at Babington House School in Kent. In 2015, Lordina and her husband landed their first teaching couple post at Doha British School Qatar, where she was a pastoral leader of year 9 and 10. During her time in Qatar she was involved in the running of young enterprise club in the school where students were entered into various competition – one of which students met Michelle Obama at the at the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) in Doha, Qatar.
For the last two years Lordina and her young family have lived in Abu Dhabi, UAE. She is passionate about travelling, eating, learning new culture and sports, especially Netball. Lordina is very much looking forward to being part of the SJIIM community as both an educator and a parent.
