Nick was born and raised in London before attending university in Durham where he graduated with a BA (Hons) in Sport. Having always enjoyed working with children he decided to become a teacher and completed his teacher training through the Graduate Teacher Programme at the Institute of Education, University College London. He has been teaching for a total of six years throughout KS2 in two very contrasting environments that have influenced the way he teaches. He started his career in an all boys’ school in north-west London before moving to an outstanding primary school in east London with an extremely diverse intake where he taught both year 3 and year 6. Over the past year he has combined his love of sport with his job by acting as the school’s PE co-ordinator. Nick has thoroughly enjoyed his teaching career to date and was very excited to expand his horizons by taking up his first international post at SJIIM.
When not at work Nick loves to watch and participate in a range of sports including football, cricket, golf, athletics and snowboarding. His other interests include attending live music events, going to the cinema and cooking. Nick is incredibly excited by the prospect of living in Malaysia and taking advantage of its location to visit many of the interesting and exciting places nearby.
