St. Joseph’s Institution International School Malaysia (SJIIM) uses the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework as the basis for its curriculum in Nursery and Reception. This framework ensures that all children have access to a broad range of knowledge, and skills that are essential for future progress through school and life.

SJIIM is committed to ensuring that children embark on their learning journey in a stimulating environment where carefully planned and integrated learning opportunities offer exciting hands-on experiences that challenge and engage children from the moment they walk in the door. Within this learning environment, there are consistently high expectations and a strong pastoral ethos that ensures children feel valued, confident, secure and happy to learn. Children are encouraged to think inquisitively and cultivate their own ideas; they develop positive relationships with adults and peers alike. They are encouraged to be independent, behave responsibly and foster a lifelong love of learning.

Additionally, for the Academic Year 2024/2025, SJIIM is offering an exclusive incentive of up to RM25,000 for admissions to the Early Years (Nursery and Reception) and Elementary School (Year 1) programmes. This incentive serves as a testament to the school’s commitment to providing quality education and support to families, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive and succeed in their educational journey.

Established in August 2016, St. Joseph’s Institution International School Malaysia (Tropicana PJ Campus) is a brother school of the esteemed St. Joseph’s Institution and St. Joseph’s Institution International School in Singapore.

Being the first SJII in Malaysia, the school is a continuation of St. John Baptist De La Salle’s 300-year-old education mission and focuses on producing well-rounded learners at all levels with its values-centred education approach that is based on the very best of the globally-recognized Lasallian education ethos.

Our mission is enabling students, within a Lasallian community, to learn how to learn and to learn how to live, empowering them to become people of integrity and people for others. We go by the tagline of ‘Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve’ and welcomes students of all faiths to be part of its community.

At SJIIM, the breadth and depth of our curriculum ensure a comprehensive learning experience for every child.

Early Years Foundation
Nursery and Reception (3 – 4+ Year Olds)

Our skilled practitioners support our youngest learners in developing key areas such as teaching of fundamental literacy and numeracy skills, physical education and music lessons, as well as social and emotional skill development. Simultaneously, they encourage them to become independent learners who remain curious about the world around them.

Elementary School
Years 1 – 6 (5 – 11+ Year Olds)

At SJIIM, we offer a stimulating, creative curriculum that draws on the very best programmes from around the world. Our curriculum is largely based on the English National Curriculum, but we also deliver Singapore Math and a daily Mandarin programme. Through the International Primary Curriculum, our students engage in topic-based learning, a cross-curricular approach that integrates different subject matters under an umbrella topic or area of interest.

High School
Years 7 – 11 (11 – 15+ Year Olds)

Our High School programme provides students with a well-balanced curriculum, building the foundation for future success by ensuring they are proficient in subject knowledge, problem-solving, critical thinking, and the ability to convey their ideas articulately and persuasively.

Sixth Form (A Level)
Years 12 – 13 (16 – 17+ Year Olds)

Our Sixth Form curriculum offers students the choice to specialise in their interests or maintain a breadth of subjects with A Levels. Alongside traditional coursework, students can pursue the Cambridge IPQ, a 5000-word research project, enhancing their inquiry and essay writing skills. This, along with engaging in service learning, fosters civic virtues and sets them apart in university and job applications.
