Mandarin Teacher

St Joseph’s Institution International School Malaysia (SJIIM) is a Lasallian International School (3 to 18 years). It prepares students for the IGCSE, A Level and IBDP examinations with an emphasis upon research-based teaching pedagogy and a character-building programme of activities inspired by the school’s Lasallian heritage. This includes service learning initiatives, and a holistic approach to sport, music and the arts. SJIIM is also an active member of FOBISIA which provides exciting opportunities for our students and professional development and networking opportunities for our staff.

SJIIM is seeking an outstanding and inspirational Mandarin teacher (High School) whose passion and experience will transform the outcomes of our students. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to join the staff of this ambitious and developing international school.

Experience of teaching Mandarin at IGCSE, IBDP and/or  A Level will be an advantage.

• To teach pupils assigned to your class within the school and carry out duties as required by the Head of Department
• To promote the Lasallian Mission and Core Values of SJIIM
• Ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reports across the department meet the expectations of the school
• Demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge and support the continued development of the Mandarin curriculum
• Demonstrate a proactive approach towards professional development
• To actively contribute to wider school development and growth
