Tony Lai Chee Hoong Position: Director, Marketing, Admissions & Communications

Tony worked in the financial industry for over 20 years, ranging from commercial banking, stockbroking, investment banking and asset management. He works with a wide variety of people from around the world. Before he moved into education, his last position was as Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of an organisation’s marketing initiatives.

Prior to joining SJIIM, he was the Director of Marketing & Admissions at Epsom College in Malaysia. His primary mission was to facilitate growth and increase student recruitment by developing comprehensive marketing plans that promoted brand recognition and helped the school gain a competitive advantage. He was also responsible for overseeing the facilities, operation policies, security, catering service, and technology in his first year with the school as Chief Operating Officer.
