A Warm Welcome from the

Welcome to the St. Joseph’s Institution International School Malaysia community.

As Head of School, it is an absolute privilege to lead an institution dedicated to nurturing the unique potential of every student. Education, to me, is far more than a path to academic achievement; it is a journey of self-discovery, character development, and empowerment.

My educational philosophy is deeply rooted in our Lasallian tradition. At SJIIS, we are guided by the core values of Faith, Service, Community, Excellence, and Respect. Our mission is to empower students to learn and live with integrity, becoming true “people for others”. This philosophy centres on a profound commitment to recognising and nurturing the individual talents of every child, ensuring they feel known, valued, and inspired to excel.

Our vision for the school is built upon a simple but powerful premise: to expose students to as many different opportunities as possible. A world-class education must stretch well beyond the traditional boundaries of the classroom. Whether through our rigorous academic programmes, diverse co-curricular activities, or global perspectives, we aim to provide an ecosystem where students can discover new interests, develop lifelong passions, and learn to make a meaningful difference in the world. This aligns seamlessly with our school motto: “Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve.”

To achieve this, I have always been deeply committed to creating educational frameworks that adapt to the student, rather than forcing the student to conform to a rigid system. I strongly believe in providing personalised academic pathways that allow young people to follow their passions and unlock their full potential without being held back by age. By championing innovation and flexibility in our curriculum, we ensure that when a student shows exceptional talent or a deep passion for a subject, the traditional boundaries disappear. We focus on a ‘stage not age’ approach, allowing students to accelerate, dive deeper, and take genuine ownership of their learning journey.

An exceptional school is built on strong partnerships. Together with our dedicated, world-class faculty and our supportive parent community, we are focused on fostering an environment where academic excellence goes hand-in-hand with student wellbeing and virtue-based development. We utilise data-informed practice and modern pedagogical approaches to support every student’s unique growth, ensuring they are not only prepared for top-tier universities globally but are also equipped with the agility, resilience, and integrity needed for the future.

I invite you to explore our website, visit our campus, and experience firsthand the vibrant, innovative, and inclusive community that makes SJIIS such a remarkable place to learn and grow.

Alongside inspection for accreditation, our teams also offer continued advice and support to ISQM-accredited schools.

The School Rally

Adapted from O’Donnell Aboo, 1597
Lyrics by Brother Marcian James Cullen (1869-1938)

All through our college, a voice is resounding,
Promptly respond to your duty’s sweet call.
Harken you all for the trumpet is sounding,
Your Mater’s proclaiming her watchword to all.

Chorus

Forward her children dear,
Ever with hearts sincere,
Render with joy to your Mater her due.
All that is vile reject, heaven will e’er protect
Heirs of St Joseph’s valiant and true

Onward and upward in life’s earnest battle,
Joyously bearing the brunt of the fight
Nobly forgiving, for all that may pain you,
And bravely defending the cause of the right.

“Ora et Labora” your motto still bearing,
Forward with courage in ways that are just,
True to your standard, be serving and daring,
As faithful Josephians, in heaven you trust.
