SJIIS Malaysia Achieves Full FOBISIA Membership Status!
We are thrilled to share some fantastic news with our school community: St. Joseph’s Institution International School, Malaysia, has officially transitioned from an Associate Member to a Full Member of FOBISIA (The Federation of British International Schools in Asia).
This milestone follows the official confirmation from the Education Development Trust (EDT) that SJI International was successfully accredited under the International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM) framework in March 2026.
What This Means for Our School
FOBISIA maintains exceptionally high standards for its member schools. To achieve and maintain Full Member status, schools must undergo rigorous re-accreditation by an approved international inspectorate at least every five years.
By meeting these strict, globally recognised quality standards, SJI International now unlocks enhanced privileges within the Federation, including:
- Voting Rights: We now hold voting rights at the annual FOBISIA Heads' Business Meetings, allowing us to help shape the future of international education in the region.
- Leadership Opportunities: Our leadership team is now eligible to hold office within the Federation.
- Hosting Student Events: We are now eligible to host prestigious FOBISIA student events, sports tournaments, and academic conferences right here on our campus.
What This Means for Our School
In an official statement, the FOBISIA Board, Membership Committee, and the Federation extended their warmest congratulations to our school:
“We would like to congratulate you and your team on reaching this important milestone and achieving a rigorous quality standard for your school.”
Thank You to Our Community
This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and high standards maintained by our teachers, staff, students, and families. Thank you for your continued support as we celebrate this incredible milestone and look forward to the exciting new opportunities it brings to SJI International!
Ora Et Labora.
