High Achievement Award for IGCSE International Mathematics
Congratulations to Neo Yu Xuan for receiving the prestigious High Achievement Award for IGCSE International Mathematics.
This award is an exceptional accomplishment, recognising students who achieve the highest marks in their country or region for one of the most rigorous Mathematics qualifications offered by Cambridge International.
Beyond her academic achievement, Yu Xuan has consistently demonstrated the qualities that make an outstanding learner — diligence, perseverance, humility, and a genuine desire to improve. Over the years, she has approached learning with focus and determination, asking thoughtful questions, paying close attention in class, and working steadily to strengthen her understanding.
Reflecting on her journey, Yu Xuan shared:
“I’d say not to procrastinate — even though that’s easier said than done. It’s much easier to absorb information when you’re more relaxed and not panicking about how you know nothing the day before an exam.”
Mr Tay, who has taught Yu Xuan for several years, shared that her achievement is a reflection not only of her ability, but her consistent hard work and initiative in asking meaningful questions in class; and expressed his pride in seeing her growth as a student and an able mathematician.
